2 Minute Tut time!!!
Creative Congo, a place so generous, its 2 minute tuts often contain 2, 3, even 11 extra minutes!!!
This time around, I’m showing you how to create a quick and easy globe graphic/icon that can be easily animated to turn. It has the added bonus of its versatility…with a little work you can style that globe in a million different ways for a million different uses.

- The reason I used the Offset effect vs using CC Sphere rotation on this one was that I noticed some minor distortion of the world towards the poles with CC Sphere rotation. I’m not sure why this is but if I had to hazard a guess, I’d say it occurs in the translation of 2D to 3D sphere because you’re animating a calculated value frame to frame. With the Offset effect, you’re animating the 2D layer, not the 3D layer.
