Many times we get stuck in the trap of thinking about talent and ability. Do you have the talent to succeed at your dream? What about people who have more ability than you? How will you ever get ahead when things don’t come easily to you?
You know what I say to those things? Stick with it.
Don’t ever give up. Work harder. Spend time on your passion. Because when it comes down to it, it’s not about talent or intelligence or some sort of “in” that will give you a leg up. It’s about how much you want it. When the chips are down, do you throw in the towel or do you re-double your efforts? That’s what grit is. And it turns out, it’s actually more important than any of that other stuff.
